What the app actually is

No faces sold, no scores assigned. A text-led feed of stated intent, a conversation, and a clock.

  • A feed of stated intent — what people want tonight, not a wall of faces.

We publish what we can't promise

audit root · 0x8d3f…1a02

  • Independent ephemerality audit
  • Open threat model
  • Zero advertising SDKs — CI-verified
  • A named Data Protection Officer
  • A published transparency report

Tinder and Hinge monetise your identity. PURE and Feeld promise a privacy their architecture can't keep. Wesprs is privacy by architecture, intent-declared.

Questions, answered plainly

What is verified anonymity?
Verified anonymity means we confirm server-side that you are a real, of-age human, but we store no legal name, no email, and no third-party login — and other people never see who you are.
Why does everything expire after 24 hours?
Profiles, messages, and images are deleted server-side 24 hours after they are created. Expiry is built into how the system stores data, not a setting we promise to honour later.
How do you verify I'm human without identifying me?
Verification runs a liveness and age check through a sidecar, returns a yes-or-no result, and discards the biometric input. We keep the answer, not the scan — no face, no document is retained.
Is messaging free?
Yes. Talking to people you've matched with is free for everyone. There is no paywall on chat, and no charge to send the first message.
Do I need an email address or a social account to join?
No. There is no email-as-login and no "sign in with Apple, Google, or Facebook". You join with a passkey or a pseudonymous recovery phrase — identity is never the price of entry.
What does Wesprs know about my location?
Wesprs uses a coarse geographic grid to show nearby intent, not your precise GPS coordinates. We never store a street-level position, and other users only see an approximate area.
What if someone shares an intimate image of me without consent?
You do not need a Wesprs account to report it. The non-account-holder intake handles takedown requests, and we act on them within 48 hours.
What does it cost?
There is one optional subscription — a single Privacy plan. The core experience, including verification and free messaging, works without paying, and there are no ads.
Who is Wesprs for?
Wesprs is built to be inclusive by schema: every gender, orientation, and relationship structure is a first-class vocabulary on day one, not an afterthought added under pressure.
Do you use ad networks or tracking SDKs?
No. There are zero advertising or tracking SDKs in the apps or on this site — a fact our build pipeline checks automatically. Our only analytics is self-hosted, cookieless, and aggregate.
